Today I am confused. Perhaps it is the change to Daylight Saving Time – that ridiculous and antiquated idea that saves neither daylight nor time but throws a kink in my circadian rhythms every spring and fall.
Or perhaps, it is the fact that this is the scene that greeted me Saturday morning.
Snow – in March – in the Deep South.
So not only do I not know what time it is, I don’t even know what season it is. Is there no end to the madness?
On the knitting front, I am working on two pair of socks for the kids. Preteena will be getting a pair of spring green Diagonal Rib socks and SmallFry will be getting a basic sock in a self-striping yarn. I also am knitting away on Bell Curve.
I am farther along that the photo but it still looks the same – only longer. It is a pretty easy knit until you get to the stars. Those little boogers are not easy to knit. They make a lovely decorative increase but are not nearly as easy to manage as they look.
My latest method for knitting is to slip the five stitches onto a very small dpn before knitting all five together. Someone on Ravelry was using a crochet hook but I haven’t mastered that technique yet.
I am also working on Little Slip of a Thing Bag from Knitty but it had to make a short trip to Frog Pond when I realized that the two colors I had chosen looked fine when the skeins were held together in the LYS but looked positively, awful when actually knitted into the same item. You will be happy to know that new yarn has been chosen and reknitting is underway.
I don’t like the time changes, either. It’s just not natural!
The socks are very nifty!
Love the snow!
I’m ready for spring, now!

My goodness! Snow! I wanted snow all winter, but now I’m about ready for spring. Alas, today it is about 40 degrees outside. Last night it was below freezing, which was actually great timing, as we had a bonfire with our small group.
